A Victorian Walnut occasional table by C. Hindley and Sons of Oxford Street, London, dating to circa 1880.

The octagonal top has a moulded edge and is supported by four turned columns above a base with reeded, outward-curving feet. Moulded perimeter stretchers and a crossed central stretcher unite the supports, with a turned finial at their intersection.

The underside is clearly stamped “C. Hindley and Sons, Oxford Street, London” and numbered 9584.

A well-proportioned table suitable beside an armchair or sofa, or for use as a lamp table.
