Antique Sofa - early 19th Century
Carved and Gilded front legs on cup castors, very chunky splayed leg to the rear also gilded on castors.
Width 235cm x Depth 95cm x Height 93cm.
With a seat width of 170cm, seat depth of 60cm.
Hand written date of 1841 on the frame.
This has now been stripped back to bare frame, only the original horse hair filled back rest remain, so the seat and arms will need to be rebuilt traditionally the correct way which given time we will complete. We've left some photos of the item with its outer fabric on - to help with envisioning it's finished shape.
