Antique Chippendale Revival Armchair with Ball and Claw Feet, Circa 1900
An unusually low and deep seated Chippendale Revival armchair, dating to circa 1900.
The chair has a gently raked, buttoned back, broad rolled arms and a sprung seat with a loose feather cushion. The carved hardwood frame has a pierced scrolling front rail, flower-head corner blocks and substantial ball-and-claw front feet, with plain swept legs to the rear.
The frame is firm.
Presented in calico and sold for upholstery. The loose feather seat cushion is included but could do with re-filling or replacing.
