Two Foxed Wall Mirrors - Northern-European.
Made from pine with the original mercury mirrors, these are rectangular in form with rounded edges.
One has heavy foxing, and is painted in a purple-brown stain with gold paint to the inside trim (C.1930).
The other, which is older (C.1900) is stained in a warm brown colour has less foxing and the mercury glass is very wavy and distorts the reflection.
Hung as portrait orientation, the measurements are 94cm in height and the width is 48cm.
As the two mirrors are so close in size, they'd work nicely as a matched pair.
